Ann Marie is a brilliant and hard-working graduate student at Princeton University. She is also my fabulous sister-in-law! She visited this weekend with my brother and was in need of some portraits for her many appearances on professional websites.
It was my first shoot in the new home-studio and it was very exciting! We blasted photo-studio-esque electronica (courtesy of ITunes radio) and did a quick shoot on Sunday before our delicious lunch. We tried a few different looks and lighting schemes to highlight the different aspects of Ann Marie’s professional persona.

This is our favorite from what I like to call the “I Am Brilliant Yet Fun-Loving!” set.
Ann Marie decided at the last minute that she wasn’t happy with the red shirt she had brought from home, so I loaned her my new pink shirt. She immediately fell in love with it, and wanted a shot that highlighted its adorable sleeve-buckles.
The next photo is my overall favorite from our sitting.
