Ridley Photo Shoot at Fenway!

September 3, 2009

In the past week and a half, I have shot from a ski lift, at a fair, in a vegetable exhibit, and at Fenway Park.   WOW.

You may remember Kam from her headshots not long ago!  Kam was (sniff, sniff – I can’t believe class is over!) a student in one of the classes for which I was a teaching assistant at CDIA, and she asked me if I’d take photos of her and her family (I imagine Kam as a photographer, like me, is not in any photos).  I was psyched to do it, and was even MORE psyched when I found out that Kam’s husband Larry had arranged for us to do the shoot at Fenway Park!

This next shot, of the dugout, is my favorite shot of the day.  And yes, I was in the dugout.  Wicked cool.

This next shot of Kam and Cannon is adorable.

I snapped this next shot on our way down to the field.  Because we got to walk on the field.  Which is awesome.  And also weird, because the field is way deeper than I imagined it would be.

Green Monster!

This next one is my second favorite shot from the day – everyone making Spiderman webs!

I love this next one because London looks so dignified.

Thanks Ridleys!!!  Shooting at Fenway was SO.  MUCH.  FUN.

Margot!

August 17, 2009

Are you ready?  Are you ready for the onslaught of cuteness?

Meet Margot!

Margot = Happiest Baby Ever.

Margot brought a bunch of different outfits for her session and they were all awesome.  I think, in the end, my favorite is the blue dress below.

This is what I like to see – total commitment to the photo shoot.

And now for the yellow outfit!

Thanks for a great photo shoot Margot!!!

Efrain and Ayden

August 5, 2009

Get ready for some cuteness that you will not even be able to tolerate!

In case you couldn’t tell, Efrain and Ayden are brothers.

During our photo shoot, E(frain) was convinced to be photographed with his lightsaber.  Me = happiest photographer ever.

Here he is using The Force!

And this is Ayden flying – is this related to The Force?  I’m not sure.

I could go on and on… there are like 12,000 photos with unimaginable cuteness but I think I will stop here.

Brendan’s First Portrait!

March 10, 2009

Brendan came over this weekend to have his first-ever professional portrait taken.  It was as though he was an old pro!

Seeing Brendan respond to the camera got me to thinking how bizarre it must be for babies to interact with a complete stranger holding a weird machine in front of her face.  I feel like it should be kind of scary, but Brendan was totally cool with it!

I also considered the awesomeness of the Fisher Price ring stacking toy.  This toy ruled when I was a kid, and it apparently still rules.  Look how excited Brendan is about it!

I love this next one because Brendan is shrugging his shoulders, as if to say, “I know I’m a natural… what can I say?”

When Brendan had had enough of his session, he just plopped  himself down on the set and was done.  He totally earned a nap on some seamless – he worked very hard and made some FABULOUS photos!

Katie, Ryan and Their Parents!

November 12, 2008

And finally, photos of Katie and Ryan together and with their fabulous parents.

I don’t know why I love this next photo so much… I think it makes me feel like a kid!

Ryan!

November 12, 2008

Meet Ryan, Katie’s little brother.

Ryan is super-chill…

… and also super-happy.

Here are some of my favorite photos of Ryan from the outdoor portion of the shoot.

I am ill-equipped to handle the cuteness in the next photos!

Katie!

November 12, 2008

I visited Katie, Ryan and their parents this past weekend to take some holiday portraits of them at their brand new home!!!

I like this environmental portrait of Katie because it just reminds me of how smart kids are today.

Katie was really getting into being a model!

She also got into making all manner of entertaining and silly faces.

When we were done inside the house, we decided to head outside to play in the unseasonably warm weather.

Katie was kind enough to display the leaf she found in their awesome yard!

This next photo is my favorite photo from the entire day.

You’ll see more of Katie later in the family pics!

Sophie and Mason!

November 5, 2008

It was hard to get Sophie and Mason together, so I am only going to post one photo of them. I can’t really articulate why I like this photo so much – it might be that they both have their hands near their mouths, or that they’re engaged with the camera but not smiling, or maybe its the lighting. Regardless, I love this photo.

Sophie!

November 5, 2008

Meet Sophie:

I love Sophie’s fabulous red holiday dress!

Sophie was far more interested in exploring my office than being on-set, so I decided to move the shoot up there! I hadn’t realized that my office had such gorgeous natural light, so I am forever indebted to Sophie for discovering this new location for portraits!

And last but certainly not least, my favorite of Sophie.

Mason!

November 5, 2008

Meet Mason:

Mason loves to have his photo taken.

Mason is demonstrating his “moody” model face in the next shot.

In the next series, he displays many options for using a soccer ball as a prop!

I love love love the matching socks and sweater vest.

Again, very serious.

The many faces of Mason.

This next photo is my second favorite from the session because Mason is looking fierce!

And last but not least, my favorite!
